Training overview
Training records who needs to know what, whether they have been trained, and whether the training worked. It runs entirely in Jira, in a dedicated Training space, so every sign-off lands in the same audit trail as the rest of your quality system.
Competence management asks whether a person can do a job correctly. Training is one of the ways you get them there, and it is how you show afterwards that you did. This app covers the training, and the records it produces are what your competence claims rest on.
What you can do
Define roles
Say who holds which role, and which curricula that role has to complete.
Build curricula
Group training requirements into a program for a role, department, or job function.
Assign and record
Issue training per person, track it from assigned through to trained, and capture the sign-off.
Verify effectiveness
Check that the training landed, with an exam or a documented verification, before closing the record.
How the pieces connect
The objects form a chain. A role points at the curricula its holders must complete. A curriculum groups training requirements. Each requirement, once issued to a person, becomes a training record. Records can be delivered through a session and verified with an exam, whose outcome is an exam result.
The guides follow the order of the views in the app, so working through them in sequence walks the chain from the top down. Start with Manage roles.
Standards it supports
Training supports the competence and training requirements of ISO 13485. Approvals are signed with a one-time password sent to the approver’s email, so each record carries an electronic signature attributable to one person. Configured correctly, that supports compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
